Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor and inspect production processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on raw materials and packaging.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Perform routine laboratory and on-site tests (e.g., water quality, bottle integrity, seal strength, weight, volume, and labeling accuracy).
- Identify non-conforming products and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and test results.
- Ensure proper sanitation and hygiene practices are followed across the facility.
- Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure calibration and proper use of testing and measuring equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control, preferably in the food, beverage, or bottled water industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory requirements (HACCP, GMP, ISO standards).
- Basic understanding of laboratory testing procedures and quality control techniques.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements and inspection processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) for reporting and documentation.
- Training or certification in food safety or quality management systems will be an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in inspections and documentation.
Ability to identify non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Good documentation and report-writing skills.
Knowledge of testing equipment, calibration, and maintenance procedures.
Understanding of sanitation, hygiene, and safety standards in manufacturing facilities.
Ability to conduct audits and coordinate with regulatory authorities.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Strong observation skills and ability to work under pressure in a production environment.
