Project Manager (Construction Materials & Solutions)

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage project-based business in construction materials, including cement, steel, and construction chemicals. The role involves end-to-end project handling—from client acquisition to execution, technical coordination, billing, and collection.

Key Responsibilities

A. Project Acquisition & Business Development

• Identify and secure new project opportunities (hydropower, infrastructure, commercial, and residential).
• Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and project owners.
• Participate in tenders, negotiations, and technical discussions.
• Achieve monthly and annual project sales targets.

B. Technical Coordination

• Understand project specifications and recommend suitable materials: Cement types (OPC/PPC/PSC), Steel grades, Admixtures.
• Provide technical support to clients and site engineers.
• Coordinate with internal R&D/production team for customized solutions.

C. Project Execution & Monitoring

• Ensure timely supply of materials as per the project schedule.
• Monitor site usage, consumption patterns, and performance of materials.
• Handle site-level issues and provide quick resolution.
• Maintain strong coordination between the client, the site team, and company operations.

D. Commercial & Billing Management

• Prepare quotations, BOQs, and rate analysis.
• Track billing, invoicing, and payment collection.
• Manage credit control and ensure timely recovery.
• Maintain project-wise profitability.

E. Reporting & Documentation

• Maintain project pipeline and status reports.
• Submit weekly/monthly reports on: Sales, Site progress, and Collections.
• Keep proper documentation of agreements, approvals, and site records.

3. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Related Field.
• Experience: 5–10 years in construction materials or project sales.
• Strong knowledge of: Cement, steel, RMC, Construction chemicals & admixtures.
• Site execution practices.

Required Skills

• Strong technical + commercial understanding.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Problem-solving mindset (especially for site issues).
• Good command of Excel/reporting tools.
• Leadership and team coordination ability.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in hydropower/infrastructure projects.
• Existing network with contractors and consultants in Nepal
• Experience handling project-based sales + execution together

Reporting Structure

• Reports to: Director / Business Head
• Works closely with: Sales Team, Production Team, Technical/R&D Team, and Accounts & Finance.
