Social Media and Digital Marketing Officer
About the Role
The company is seeking a creative and organised Social Media and Digital Marketing Officer to manage the company’s digital presence, create engaging content, document outdoor education trips, and support the preparation of company-related materials.
This is a part-time role suited to someone who can combine content creation, photography, video editing, design, and social media management. The position requires flexibility during trip sessions and other important company activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and regularly update the company’s social media platforms.
- Develop content plans and create engaging posts, captions, stories, and promotional materials.
- Coordinate closely with camp photographers to guide content requirements, collect trip photographs and videos, shortlist the most relevant material, and curate compelling visual stories for social media, reels, promotional campaigns, reports, and company archives.
- Create and edit short-form videos and reels suitable for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Prepare trip highlights, promotional videos, testimonials, and storytelling-based digital content.
- Design posters, event materials, social media graphics, brochures, proposals, itineraries, and other company-related documents.
- Write clear and engaging captions and basic promotional copy in English.
- Maintain consistency in the company’s branding, visual identity, language, and messaging.
- Coordinate with the sales, operations, and management teams to collect trip details, schedules, photographs, updates, and promotional requirements.
- Maintain an organised digital library of photographs, videos, design files, documents, and completed content.
- Assist in promoting outdoor education programmes, upcoming trips, events, workshops, and institutional partnerships.
- Ensure that content involving students and schools is selected and published responsibly and professionally.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience in social media management, digital marketing, graphic design, photography, videography, or content creation.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant digital platforms.
- Proficiency in video-editing applications.
- Working knowledge of Canva and other design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator).
- Ability to create professional documents, presentations, posters, and promotional materials.
- Creative storytelling skills and a good understanding of visual composition.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple content requirements.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with different departments.
- Access to a suitable laptop and smartphone for content creation and editing is preferred.
Working Hours
- Part-time position.
- Approximately 4–5 hours per day.
- Regular working hours may be arranged according to the content schedule and the company’s operational requirements.
- Working hours must remain flexible during trip sessions, events, workshops, and other field activities.
- The employee may occasionally be required to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or outside regular working hours during trips and events. Working hours may be adjusted accordingly.
